New Look in Ebrary

Not long ago Ebrary, now with over 40,000 full text books available for reading, updated their look and search features. One nice feature is when you do a basic search, a box of terms comes up along with book results. You can refine your search quickly and easily right there by checking the terms that really represent your topic.
Don't forget to try the free account feature. You can save books to your bookshelf and come back to them later.
To access Ebrary, visit the Access Databases page and log in.

Frontal Cortex Blog

Beyond the title, The Frontal Cortex, I don't know how to sum up this brilliant writer's blog; it is about neuroscience, culture, art, technology. He has a way of elegantly explaining Proust and has recently joined Twitter. Quite an interesting site to explore.

Somatics Research

Our friends at the California Institute of Integral Studies has assembled an impressive online collection of information on the topic of Somatics Psychotherapy. Among the things one can find on the website are:
  • Lists of selected journals, books, and dissertations
  • Research tips including useful keywords for searching databases and catalogs
  • Links to organizations
  • Links to low-fee clinics
It is a rich resource worthy of a visit.
