There are times when using Google is the best way to find the information you need. If you would like to fine-tune your strategy, check out the Google Web Search Features page. The page explains how to do various kinds of specialty searches, saving a lot of time and energy.
Keep in mind that if you are looking for scholarly full text articles, we recommend using ITP Library databases.

Free Resources at Your Public Library
Most people don't take full advantage of their local public libraries. Public libraries have many great resources! Many public libraries have free online journal databases that include full text, and sometimes scholarly, content. To access these resources, you will need to have a library card. If you don't already have a library card from your local public library, try searching the NCES Library Search to find the libraries closest to you (try putting your state, zip and distance you are willing to travel, and click on search). Many public libraries only require a current ID and proof of your current address, but it is always good to call ahead and ask.
Remember you can always ask Katrina or Lucy for information and suggestions about public library resources.

Searching for Statistics
Finding statistics can be very challenging. One place to start would be FedStats which serves as a portal for U.S. federal agency statistics. The site links to statistics by topic or by government agency.
Conference Recordings Online
The Association for Transpersonal Psychology recently added past conference audio recordings to their online archive. The files are in an mp3 format and can be downloaded by ITP students, staff and faculty for free. Go to the Access Online Databases page and click on the Journal of Transpersonal Psychology (JTP) Archives Link. If you need help, please email a librarian at refdesk@itp.edu.

In Docutek, we are uploading helpful bibliographies based on our library collection. The page name is Library Bibliographies under the Library Department. The bibliographies so far are on topics like clinical videos, works by C.G. Jung, and Feminism. Expect more monthly. It is a great place to go to get inspired.
Search Tools Site from Infopeople
A great place to get quick information on search syntax for various search engines is the Search Tools Chart put together by Infopeople. This information is great for the sophisticated researcher who likes to search the Web in addition to ITP Library databases.
